Buckeye

Rooting Buckeye
Sonoma County, California

I love the stark contrast of the rooting buckeye nut to the dry, decaying oak leaves. A less adventurous weekend, we ended up walking along a paved trail today, covering from periodic bouts of rain and enjoying all the flowering, new growth and birthing (lambs and kids) along the path. I am holding this image of the rooting buckeye as a visual and energetic prompt for a few things in my life to take root . . . it is that time of year after all . . . .

Indications of Spring

I believe I noted how I had been watching the swelling of buds on the fruit trees out in front of our house and we were blessed with first blossoms on Valentine's Day! Above is a close-up of a Plum Blossom's Heart . . .
